Power Ranking the Four WDW Parks

The Walt Disney World parks are always changing, and your preferences for them can change as well. While one park may be the best park to visit now, that may not be the case in six months. Here is the current power rankings of the parks as they stand once WDW reopens:

While EPCOT is a personal favorite of mine, the reality is there is not much to do currently. World Showcase is fantastic and as unique a theme park experience as you can get. However, the majority of Future World is going through renovations. This leaves only a select few rides for visitors to enjoy. The newly refurbished EPCOT that features Ratatouille, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and a spruced up Future World is sure to skyrocket up this list. But as of now, it stays in 4th place.

Much like EPCOT, Magic Kingdom is sure to jump up this list following its 50th anniversary and the opening of the Tron roller coaster and renovation of Mickey’s PhilharMagic. But it stays at third because of a relative absence of new experiences recently. Magic Kingdom is quintessential Disney and probably at the top of the list if you have young children, but its relatively unchanged state keeps it here for now.

Hollywood Studios is having a moment right now. The recent addition of Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has upgraded it from an afterthought to a must-see park. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is an absolute marvel and perhaps the most ambitious and jaw-dropping ride we’ve ever experienced, Slinky Dog Dash is an extremely underrated roller coaster, and Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run is a fun and innovative ride that offers a glimpse into the future of theme park attractions. Throw in some really solid restaurants like 50s Prime Time Cafe, Ronto Roasters, and Woody’s Lunch Box and you have a park worth visiting.

Animal Kingdom as of now is the perfect combination of new experiences, must-do rides, theming, and quality restaurants. The new land of Pandora: The World of Avatar is breathtakingly gorgeous, and Avatar, Flight of Passage may be the best ride on property. Satuli Canteen is, in my opinion, the best quick service restaurant in any of the parks. Throw in the unique opportunity to see and interact with exotic animals and additional top tier rides such as Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safaris and you have a park that’s great for everyone.
